Ok...I some of you may recall....I posted my "2010 things to do bucket list" in early January. It is now March 19...almost the end of the 1st quarter of the year. Time to evaluate my progress and assess where things stand. This little exercise has been quite telling....as it has clearly revealed to me the areas of my life where my focus is out of balance. So here below is the original posting and THE FIRST QUARTER UPDATE IN CAPS

HEALTH
1. Live minimum of 6months at or below 207lbs….but got to get there first!
(23LBS TO GO!)
2. Do 60days raw, 30 juice feasting, 30 Daniel fast, 30 master cleanse over the course of the year
(DID 20 DAYS OF A “MEATLESS MONTH” IN JANUARY…DID A 7 DAY MASTER CLEANSE IN FEBRUARY…NEED TO DO SOMETHING FOR MARCH….BUT THIS TOUR SCHEDULE HAS MADE PRESENTED SOME CHALLENGES)
3. Do a half marathon and/or 2 walkathons
(DATE WAS SET FOR APRIL 11 …ANN ARBOR, MI…BUT THEN I WENT ON THIS PORGY AND BESS TOUR….SO NOW…IDK….MAYBE I WILL DOWNGRADE TO A WALKATHON…OR TO THE CRIM IN FLINT IN AUGUST??....IDK…)
4. Pushups…Sit-ups…and Push-aways….everyday! nuff said.
DID 20 DAYS OF ‘20 PUSH-UPS AND 20 SET-UPS EVERYTIME I HAVE TO GO TO THE BATHROOM”…LOL…HEY…WHAT EVER WORKS!! DONE FELL WAAAY OFF WITH THIS TOUR SCHEDULE THOUGH…LACKING THE PROPER MOTIVATION
5. Get my first pair of glasses, my first full physical in 12 years, and teeth whitening treatment
I HAVE MY TEETH WHITENING STUFF….THANKS TO DR. BONADEO AND THE GOOD FOLKS AT PARKSIDE DENTAL AND I GOT PRICED FOR THE SPECTACLES BEFORE GOING ON TOUR….JUST WASN’T ABLE TO GET THEM BEFORE LEAVING!! L
6. Be at least 80% organic….vegetarian….and 50% raw/live foods by the end of 2010
DAY 9 OF AT LEAST 90% ORGANIC…100% VEGETARIAN….(THE OTHER DAY I MADE ME SOME RED LENTILS, BULGAR, AND SPINACH..IT WAS THE BOMB!!

7. Travel to at least 7 new countries…(the Caribbean…the Mother Land and the Orient are calling)

8. Learn to play golf…basketball..and wii
I AM BECOMING PRETTY GOOD AT BOWLING…AND BOXING IS QUITE A WORKOUT! I HAVE GOT TO GET MY OWN WII STATION THINGY!!!...LOL
9. Go horseback riding and fly a kite…again…and again
I COULD HAVE WENT HORSEBACK RIDING THE OTHER DAY IN FORT WORTH….BUT IT WAS A COLD AND CLOUDY DAY….SO I DECIDED…”NEXT TIME.”
10. Learn to dance…and/or…learn to love trying
FOLX ARE DANCING UP A STORM IN THIS NEW PORGY PRODUCTION…BUT ALAS…THEY STILL HAVEN’T DEVELOPED A DANCE ROUTINE FOR PEEPS WITH TWO LEFT FEET!!
11. “Buy the best even if it means having less”
I NEED TO CONSTANTLY REMIND MYSELF OF THIS…..BUT MORE OFTEN THAN NOT…IT IS MERELY A MATTER OF THE BEST BEING AVAILABLE. FAST…CHEAP…POOR QUALITY JUNK IS SOOO DA#M PLENTIFUL IT IS RIDICULOUS.
THANK GOD FOR ORANGE TAG SALES AT WALGREENS AND ESPECIALLY KROGERS…CUZ $5 FOR ORGANIC BUTTER IS A NO-BRAINNER
12. Gain a better understand of Hip Hop…graffiti, fashion, and photography or language… its origins, influence, and cultural influence abroad
OK…NEED HELP GETTING STARTED ON THIS ONE…NEED SOME YOUNG PERSON TO BE GUIDE ME THROUGH THE MAIZE
13. Build an art photo portfolio…(anybody out there want me to take you picture…I need to get some practice in…fa real)
DID A STUDY OF THE GROUNDBREAKING WORK OF CARL VAN VECHTEN…HENCE MY RECENT BLACK HISTORY TRIVIA / TRIBUTE ON FACEBOOK….ALSO HELP TO PRODUCE AN AFRICAN AMERICAN ART SHOWCASE IN ANN ARBOR.
14. Contribute to the development, institutionalization, and execution of a rite of passage program for inner-city youth….(it’s been 15 years….it’s time to serve again in this way)
BEEN DOWLOADING AND STUDYING CURRENT MATERIAL AND HAVE BEGUN STRATGIZING A PROGRAM OUTLINE
15. Discover the music/art of 3 (new to me) artist and/or musical genres…outside of gospel and classical music
DISCOVERED THREE HOT NEW YOUNG ACCOMPLISHED VISUAL ARTISITS…PLEASE CHECK EM OUT HERE

16. Celebrate my 40th in a very special way
WHAT TO DO…??...NOT A CLUE….BEEN THINKING ABOUT A RETURN TO SAN FRANCISCO….ALSO CONSIDERING THE DOMINICAN REPUBLIC….BUT I MAY JUST DO AN “NO-TELL TELL-ALL ADVENTURE TRAVEL”….YEAH…I KNOW…YOU’RE WONDERING…WHAT IN THE WORLD IS THAT!! LOL
17. Make at least one uniquely fabulous and unforgettable memory with my mom, 2 brothers, 3 nieces, my fraternal G5, my 3 fraternal AP’s, my mentees, and 4 my friends

28. Integrate bowties, cravats, ascots, vest, blazers, tweed, jeans, patches, specs, and some other accoutrements….(come on Stanley aka “St. Johns”….need your expert advice…lol)

39. Pray catholic / church prayers….(and for all you Bible-thumpers out there ready to condemn me…the word “catholic” in the lower case refers to the Church universal…NOT the Catholic church…and even if it did….so what….what you care for?...lol)
